Cluster Flies

These species of flies are classed as a public nuisance pest due to their habit of infesting lofts and similar environments in huge numbers as autumn approaches to hibernate. Their appearance is similar to that of the House Fly although there are several species all demonstrating the same behaviour. They are not associated with disease transmission and are nectar feeders. Care should be taken when carrying out treatments as they are often associated with bat colonies living in the same areas.
