Pigeons
Often referred to as flying rats as they are capable of spreading diseases such as psittacosis through their droppings and saliva.
They cause problems when their nests block drains and guttering, causing water damage to the outside of buildings. Their droppings become very slippery when wet and can cause slip hazards outside buildings and on fire escapes. These droppings also smell and provide a breeding medium for flies with the associated potential for disease transmission. The droppings themselves are acidic and over time will contribute to the structural degradation of a building.
