Herring Gulls
One of the few species of gull that qualified and licensed contractors are allowed to control. Herring Gulls are very large and VERY aggressive birds, and when eggs or chicks are present will defend their nests ruthlessly. Even professionals approach herring gull colonies very cautiously.
The nests are large and untidy, and can block drains and gutters, however one of their main problems is that they are very noisy and will call loudly from early morning to reinforce their territories.
